Hangzhou-Shaoxing Inter-city Railway to Start Within the Year

These projects will hasten the construction of the 1-hour bullet train traffic circle radiated from the provincial capital Hangzhou.
On September 28, the provincial comprehensive transportation investment and financing construction contract signing meeting was held in Hangzhou. A total of 14 projects were involved, with a total mileage of 1005 km and a total investment of 205 billion yuan. The construction will start within the year.
These projects include highways, railways, intercity railway within the grand Hangzhou metropolitan area, and other construction projects to be invested and built together with the nearby cities. They will shorten the distance within the metropolitan area and will hasten the construction of the 1-hour bullet train traffic circle radiated from the provincial capital Hangzhou.
Take the West Loop of Hangzhou bypass to Shaoxing as an example, as an important part of the Hangzhou Economic zone highway loop, this part of the road will be open to traffic in 2020, and will greatly ease the traffic pressure in western Hangzhou.
Two grand Hangzhou metropolitan area intercity railway cooperation projects were also signed at the meeting, one is Hangzhou-Haining intercity railway with a total length of 48 km and a design speed of 120 km; the other is the Hangzhou-Deqing intercity light railway with a total length of 25 km, running parallel to the Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway to the north across the Renhe Town Center into Deqing County after subway line 10 runs out of the Xinxing station.
